SUMMARY:St Duthac Book and Arts Festival
DESCRIPTION:In 2019 an idea by two former teachers for a book festival took root. They formed the St Duthac Book & Arts Festival group with the aim to further promote literature\, heritage and the arts in their community. \nFollowing meetings\, programme development\, market stalls and fundraising the first St Duthac Book & Arts Festival\, based in Tain on the Easter Ross Peninsula\, became a reality when we launched the first Book and Arts Festival on the Easter Ross Peninsula in 2021 .  \nThe committee\, who are all volunteers with a passion for the arts\, each come with individual skills that make the festival such a welcoming event.

SUMMARY:Portobello Book Festival
DESCRIPTION:Portobello Book Festival was started by a group of local people who are interested in books and wanted to share their enthusiasm. It takes place each year over the first full weekend in October. \nOur festival is based on the principle that everything is free and nobody is paid. That has been possible\, partly\, because of our fruitful collaboration with the local library\, where many of the events are held. Events usually take place in various venues\, and we try to make sure there is something for everyone.
