SUMMARY:Fringe by the Sea
DESCRIPTION:Founded in 2008\, Fringe by the Sea is a not-for-profit\, 10-day multi-arts festival in North Berwick. From its roots as a small community event\, it has grown into one of Scotland’s most celebrated festivals\, contributing over £11 million to the local economy. \nAt its core\, Fringe by the Sea is driven by values of creativity\, inclusivity and collaboration. We believe the arts can unite people\, helping bridge gaps and address issues like isolation and rural deprivation. While we showcase international acts\, the heart of the festival remains local\, ensuring everyone has a space to create and connect.
