Literature Alliance Scotland (LAS) is the collective voice for literature and languages in Scotland, and is committed to advancing their interests at home and abroad. LAS  is Scotland’s largest network for literature and languages, bringing together writers, publishers, educators, librarians, literature organisations and national cultural bodies.

Literature Alliance Scotland (LAS) Annual Membership Fees

Annual Membership
Membership – Open to literary organisations based in Scotland and providing a strategic national or regional role or service. £100
Network Associate – Open to organisations and groups providing a literature role or service locally, internationally or in a special role. Associates may include, for example: local groups (festivals, writers’ centres and literary salons); international groups (centres for Scottish studies); special interests (creative writing centres in Scottish universities, translation centres). £30


The annual membership fees set out in the table above were approved at the Literature Alliance Scotland (LAS) meeting on 27 April 2015.

There is an introductory fee for the first year for new members: £40.00 for Members and £15 for Network Associates.
