Moniack Mhor

Moniack Mhor is Scotland’s Creative Writing Centre. We are located in the Highlands, just south of Inverness. We run creative writing retreats where you can fully immerse yourself in your writing, courses across literary genres tutored by some of the finest writers from the UK and beyond, as well as an online programme of courses and masterclasses accessible from anywhere in the world.

We offer support for writers at all stages through bespoke mentoring, awards and residencies for professional writers to develop their work. We also regularly collaborate with other Scottish, UK and international literature organisations and groups.

Our mission is to make creative writing accessible to everyone and break down the barriers to taking part in the art form. We offer bursaries to support fees and also run a wide range of projects for young people in Scotland.
