Visit the Stirling Centre for International Publishing and Communication websiteThe Stirling Centre for International Publishing and Communication was established in 1982, and has since developed a global reputation for its postgraduate degrees in publishing, its research activities, and its industry links.
Focusing on book, magazine, journal and digital publishing, we train the publishers of the future, provide opportunities for those currently working in the industry to reflect on their professional practice, and through our research, critically analyse the past, present and future of the publishing. We offer the MLitt Publishing Studies for those aiming to get into publishing and related industries, as well as the research oriented MRes and PhD Publishing Studies.
We work closely with publishers and related organisations across Scotland, including through research consultancy (e.g. with Creative Scotland and Publishing Scotland), and with partnership PhD projects (including with Glasgow Life, HarperCollins, Publishing Scotland, the Saltire Society, and Scottish Book Trust).
