Posted on 6th October, 2025 in LAS, Members, News

Our next Network meeting is themed around ‘Collaborative Advocacy’ and will be held online, 14:00pm – 16:00pm on Wednesday 22 October 2025. All attendees must register in advance.

This meeting will feature two case studies from within the LAS membership:

  • Éadaoín Lynch from Scottish Book Trust discussing the process of working with other LAS members to produce their research report, ‘The value and impact of Scotland’s public libraries’ as part of the ongoing Libraries Matter campaign. Read the report here.
  • The Society of Authors/Society of Authors in Scotland Committee presenting the Scottish Trade Unions Congress (STUC) report, ‘Freelance & Forgotten’, and how LAS members can take practical action based on the report’s findings. Read the report here.

We will also be announcing the three people selected for To Be Continued, our career development programme for literature professionals in partnership with Coaching for Creatives, and introducing an initial snapshot analysis from our Members Survey.

We look forward to welcoming our new members, connecting with familiar faces and hearing your updates.

Our Network meetings are free to attend for LAS members – please get in touch admin (at) literaturealliancescotland.co.uk if you are not currently a member and your organisation is interested in learning more about joining our network.
