AI training for freelance publishing professionals – deadline to apply 22 August

Literature Alliance Scotland has partnered with one of our Members, Publishing Scotland, to sponsor two places for freelancers on their forthcoming training session, ‘A Practical Guide to AI in Publishing with George Walkley’.

These are restricted to freelancers who are currently resident in Scotland, and professionally active in the Scottish publishing industry.

Your application should include:

Your full name,
a description of your freelance work,
and two sentences on how this training will benefit your work.

Are you prepared to manage the risks and make the most of the benefits of Artificial Intelligence in publishing?
George Walkley’s Practicalities of AI provides a practical overview of the tools available and examples of how AI is being integrated into publishing workflows. Large Language Models (LLMS) have dominated the conversation due to ethical and legal concerns about copyright, but there are many other tools available that are already reshaping the sector. Informed decision-making and engagement is essential.

Please note that this training is currently only open to Publishing Scotland members and partners, with the exception of the two tickets offered by LAS.
